Irish Family I have developed the Irish bouzouki on the basis of my own extensive experience of playing in several bands. My instruments are built with a large body in order to create a loud and powerful sound, so that you can still cut when playing in a session.
The bouzouki comes in a choice of two body sizes with either 8 or 10 strings. You can choose the scale-length and, as with all my instruments, you can select between three levels of trim: Standard, Deluxe or Premium.
Unlike most other builders of bouzoukis, I use a pin-bridge similar to what you would find on a steel-string guitar. This gives the bouzouki a very quick attack, great sustain, a wide, dynamic range with a loud and powerful sound. Another benefit of my bouzoukis is that they can be strung with regular guitar strings, giving you a much wider choice of string gauge and material.
